doing what you love is a privilege
Turning your joy into your job is awesome. Being excited for work every day is a wonderful feeling.
But, it's also a huge privilege.
Many (most?) people in the world do not have this luxury. They work to survive, to be able to afford food and a roof over their head.
Whenever I am discouraged about work, or I have to take care of some annoying thing in the office, I remind myself of this. I can be annoyed, but I have to appreciate how blessed I am that it's the exception.
And shout out to all the service workers, the janitors, the call center operators, and everyone else who is just doing what they can to get by.
